جاءني صديق في المنام وطلب مني ان ارسم شقائق النعمان، جراحات تموز، لا اعرف ما يعني المنام ولكن هذه هي صور للشقائق ارجو ان تكون مقدمة للرسمِ
A friend of mine appeared in my dream and asked me to draw some poppies. Poppies in Arabic are called shaqa’iq al Numaan, the wounds of Adonis, in reference to the sacrificial death of Adonis and his rebirth in the spring. I do not know what the dream means. but I thought I shall post some images of potpies until I have the time to paint them
Dreams speak to me
Colours speak to me
The slain god speaks to me
The slain youths speak to me
Why is the earth so red
?Why is “Christ’s blood streaming in the firmament”
The earth is so green and the poppies are so red
I see nothing but green and red
An immensity of them of green and red
